Will Durant follow Fisher to the Knicks?

Propaganda already has begun about KD heading to NYC

Derek Fisher will be introduced as the New York Knicks coach in less than an hour, but predictable propaganda commenced before the news conference began.

Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Kevin Durant will not re-sign with the Thunder when his contract is up after the 2015-16 season. So sayeth media from the East and West coasts.

Folk are professing how Fisher and Durant bonded beyond belief during their three seasons together with the Thunder, and this is why Durant will leave the peace and serenity of Oklahoma for the bright lights of the big city.

The foresight of luring Durant is among the many reasons why Knicks president Phil Jackson hired Fisher. ESPN already is spreading the word.

Durant also will be close to his agent, Jay-Z, and would return to the region of the country where he grew up near Washington D.C.

With Durant on board after two more seasons, the Knicks immediately will return to their glory years of the early 1970s. Then maybe, just maybe, Thunder teammate Russell Westbrook will then rejoin Durant when Westbrook's contract ends after 2016-17.

Three years hence, the big-time combo of Durant and Westbrook finally will perform in a big city where they have always belonged. No longer will they suffer the consequences of Tornado Alley awaiting the next Dust Bowl.

Get ready, OKC. Starting today, you’ll be hearing this chatter for the next two seasons. Guaranteed.
