Listeria Recalls Require Public Awareness

A recent recall from Blue Bell Ice Cream has been expanded to variety of products after initial reports of an outbreak of Listeria in Kansas. Blue Bell did so after 5 people sought care following a facility in Texas testing positive for Listeria. These people had consumed milkshakes containing a product called “Scoops” which are pre-wrapped ice cream scoops. Three of these people died. Read more...

S.H.I.N.E. Awards Benefit Concert 4.2.15

Music icon and Country Music Hall of Famer Merle Haggard will be receiving an award and be the featured performer at the 2nd annual S.H.I.N.E. Awards Benefit Concert. This event is presented in partnership with The Grand Casino Hotel & Resort in Shawnee. S.H.I.N.E., is a proactive nonprofit that utilizes low level offenders to pick up trash, clean graffiti and generally make Oklahoma SHINE for the rest of the world.
