9/11 Sulphur City of Springs Car Show The Sulphur Rotary Club is hosting its 11th annual "City of Springs Car Show" this year on Sat. night Sept. 11th begining at 9:00am. This years show will be the best ever with more prizes, great music, games, vendors and of course good food! The show is held in beautiful historic downtown Sulphur accross from the Chickasaw National Recreation Area. We will have over 33 classes from Corvettes to 4X4's. Every entry gets a ticket good for the Grand Prize Cash drawing for $100, $250, $500, and $1,000. We will also be giving away door prizes all day from a different drawing. 10/8 - 10/9 Downtown Stillwater's 4th Annual Car Show Downtown Stillwater, Oklahoma is hosting its 4th annual car show and invites you to attend on October 8th and 9th 2010. Friday evening we will host an optional cruise down Main Street beginning at 6 pm. Saturday morning registration opens at 8 am. The show will begin at 10 am with a live DJ, food vendors, and retailers available until the show ends at 2 pm. Pre-registrations will be accepted and will receive a discounted rate. 10/9 Second Annual Greater Garvin County Car Cruise “THUNDER IN THE STREETS” Last year’s Inaugural Greater Garvin County Car Cruise format will be transformed from a car cruise into a Car Show and Poker Run to benefit Rotary Service Projects. Participants will not only be displaying their vehicles in designated areas around town, but will be driving their cars to specific pre-establish Poker Run stops where they will collect proof of visit tokens and will then return to their staging area to draw cards for a Seven Card Stud Poker Hand. The Car Show portion of the event and judging will begin at 1:00 pm and end at 3:00 pm. Trophies will be awarded for the best vehicles in a number of different classes at an awards presentation and event gathering after the Poker Run in the parking lot at Covercraft Industries at 5:00 PM. The event is being designed as a Rotary Benefit fundraiser, which will not only provide for the many programs supported by the Rotary Club, but is open to any non-profit organization in the area. Sponsors have donated a 2003 Ford Mustang GT Convertible, which will be unveiled at BrickFest, in Pauls Valley on May 1, 2010 and will be awarded by drawing on the day of the event.
